Harry and Eddie

This dramatic presentation with actor Mark Weston, focuses on the friendship between Harry S. Truman and Eddie Jacobson, two Missourians who operated a haberdashery store in Kansas City from 1919-1922. Harry S. Truman became President of the United States and Eddie Jacobson became a traveling salesman.

A program of  music in the age of tolerance, or “convivencia” (living together), where Christian, Jewish, and Arab cultures coexisted and influenced each other in early Spain to the Golden Age of Exploration. Experience the haunting melodies & dynamic rhythms of this period with ALBA, who makes this passionate music contemporary. ALBA Consort consists of Margo Gezairlian Grib (voice, vielle), Rex Benincasa (percussion, voice), Carlo Valte (oud) and Christopher Morrongiello (lute, baroque guitar).
