Get your important documents notarized for $2.00 per notarization (or signature), up to 5 per day.
Rules for Notarizations
- All documents must be signed in the presence of the notary.
- Do not sign your document in advance.
- Bring a government-issued photo ID.
- Documents must be in English.
- Library notaries are unable to notarize deeds, and other real estate documents (i.e. mortgages and satisfactions of mortgages), wills, living wills, trusts, codicils, powers of attorney or depositions.
- You must provide your own witness(es) and they must have photo ID
Please note: The notary’s oath requires the notary to identify the person signing the document and witness him doing so.
The Library cannot make any exceptions to this New York State law.
