2023 Summer Reading Program
Our theme this year is “All Together Now! Beach, Read, Repeat” as we celebrate the spirit of community that is unique to Long Beach.
Read books between June 27th and August 26th to participate. We hope you will enjoy the variety of fun and informative events we have for you over the coming months!
How to Participate

Prefer paper? You can also stop by the Reference Desk for paper review forms for the Adult Challenge.
2. Select your challenge and Start Reading! Choose from Read to Me (birth through Kindergarten), School Age (Grade 1-4) Teen/Tween (Grade 5-12), and Adults.
3. Enter the raffle: For School Age and Teen/Tweens, read 5 books. For Adults, read and review 6 books. Then submit your virtual tickets for the gift card raffle(s) of your choice.
4. Winners will be notified on Thursday August 31st.

Don’t forget to visit our selfie stations on the First and Second floors, and let staff know what your favorite summer read is!
