At long last, our 24/7 hold lockers are now available. If you’re not able to get to LBPL during our usual hours, these smart lockers are available to pick up your holds.
How does it work?
- Place a hold for the item(s) you want.
- If you place your hold by phone or in-person, just tell the librarian you want to pick it up in the lockers.
- If you place your hold online, give us a call at 516-432-7201 ext. 225 and tell them you’d like to pick your item(s) up in the lockers.
- Once your item(s) come in and are placed in the locker, you’ll receive an email with the subject line “Reservations ready for collection”. You’ll then have five days to pick up the items at your convenience.
- When you arrive, just scan your library card or type in your barcode number and click accept – your assigned locker door will pop open. Retrieve your materials, close the locker door, your items will automatically get checked out, and then you’re good to go!
