How do I check out a bike?
You can either reserve a timeslot on our website through our Library of Things, or a librarian will reserve one for you at the Adult Reference Desk. You are given a choice between a Pink or Blue Cruiser Bicycle. When it’s time to borrow the bike, come to the Adult Reference Desk. Bikes come with bike lock to help prevent theft, as well as front and back lights for night time rides. Patron will be given Bicycle Checkout Agreement & Rules form along with LBPL/LIBC Waiver and Release form to read and sign. Bikes will then be inspection to make sure they are safe to use. Finally, you can ride away!
