LBPL loves Long Beach History!
Our Local History Collection acquires, preserves, and makes available primary and secondary resources, in all formats, documenting the natural, social, economic and political history of the Long Beach barrier island.
LBPL also collects and houses non-published materials such as photographs, photograph albums, scrapbooks, oral histories, personal and corporate archives, journals, letters, maps, prints, pamphlets, brochures, advertising ephemera and the like that are related to the history of the Long Beach barrier island.
